First published in 1877, this is volume II of "The Polynesian Race", a fascinating treatise by Abraham Fornander on the subject of the origins of the Polynesian people. By comparing the Polynesian languages, mythology, genealogies, he surmised that Polynesians first came to the Pacific in Fiji in the 1st or 2nd centuries AD; and that they were in fact Aryans who had slowly but surely migrated through India and the Malay archipelago into the Pacific islands.
